Sci-fi TV: Falling Skies

Ok, you may not know this from my fantasy leaning blog here but I am a science fiction junkie. I love it.

So I caught wind of this new show that premieres this Sunday on TNT. It looks spectacular. There are ten episodes scheduled over the summer with a two hour premiere to kick it all off.

Here is the blurb on the show:
Falling Skies tells the story of the aftermath of an alien invasion. It follows a group of survivors who must band together in order to fight back against the invading aliens. The group, known as the 2nd Mass (for “Massachusetts”), is led by Boston University history professor Tom Mason who, while in search of his son, must put his extensive knowledge of military history into practice as one of the leaders of the resistance movement.

Sounds sort of like a mashup of The Day After, V, and every single alien invasion film made. Sounds good, right?

It also features Noah Wyle, who I have found new respect for after The Librarian series he did a few years back.

So be sure to fire up your DVR, check it on Netflicks, or do it like the old folks do and watch it live this Sunday!
